Spider-man Black (and White)

By request (talking to you Cyberweasel) the lineart for my cover art to Spider-man: The Clone Saga #3.

I was never a big Spider-fan as a kid, but the Bendis/Immonen run on Ultimate Spider-Man turned me around completely on the character. So much so, that I had real jitters breaking this piece down, trying to come up with something iconic and appropriate but also a little bit different.

Couldn't be better! Work is getting busier, kids are growing up fast, picked up an iPhone...yeah, life is good. LOL

How have you been, dude? I'm currently freelancing downtown. We should hook up for lunch sometime.

Hey Kalman, I'll definitely be there Friday and Saturday and hopefully not Sunday (I'm hoping to get everything I need to get done in two days, three days is just too much). I'll be sure to drop by and say hi and I'm thinking about hitting you up for another sketch (just not sure what yet).

Thanks so much for posting that! You did a great job on the costume (I'm really particular about the eyes) and you really nailed it. It was impressive enough to put you on my radar.

I'm glad you've come around with regards to Spidey. I'd love to see you do some sequentials of him.

What are your current and future projects?

Thanks so much! I stress about getting the details right, so the fact that you noticed means tons!

I do regular covers for R.E.B.E.L.S., which you've probably noticed by looking at this blog. I'm also doing a short in the R.E.B.E.L.S. annual.

Other than that, it's a whole bunch of stuff I have to be vague about, unfortunately!

I'm doing covers for a new mini-series at marvel, and also a short and one-shot next spring. The two are related and they sooort of have something to do with Necrosha. But not really.

As soon as they give me the green light, I'll be bragging about it on the blog, though, so stay tuned!
